Lead Based Paint Regulations

Establishes training and certification for lead abatement professionals. Requires owners to disclose lead hazards to prospective buyers or lessees. Allows the commissioner of the Department of Health to inspect other dwelling units in a building upon receiving a report that a child who lives in the unit has been severely lead poisoned . Establishes essential maintenance practices. (Vt. stat. tit. 38§§ 1751 to 1765).
