Lead Based Paint Regulations

§§ 135.100 -105c (West 1997 & Supp. 1998). Priorities targeted to areas identified with children with elevated blood lead levels; for housing constructed prior to 1978, the department shall require that any person who performs remodeling or painting provide the owner and occupant of the dwelling with an approved pamphlet containing lead hazard information; Packaging--heavy metal content § 455D.19 (West Supp. 1998). Prohibits the use of more lead than 1 part per million in the packaging of any product.
